Each week Teamsters Local 362 will update our members on what is happening within the local and what our business agents are doing outside of their daily responsibilities. Make sure you check in to see what is happening in the union.

Business Agent Ryan Adams was bargaining this week with Wolverine ‎Pipeline Trucking Agreement and he expects to have a Memorandum of Agreement by the end of the week.

Business Agents Lukas Eichel-Fominov and David Frost met with Garda management and shop stewards to have a meeting with CATSA to discuss re-certification and issues around retraining.  They are also working on weekly updates regarding info pertaining to the collective agreement for Garda World Calgary and putting together an agenda for the upcoming labour management meeting,

This week Business Agent Shaun Quaghebeur worked on Lafarge Edmonton and area proposal document and had bargaining with Lafarge on Friday.


This week members of the leadership will be heading to the Teamsters Canada Convention in Vancouver. Every four years, Teamsters Canada holds a convention that brings together representatives, delegates and local officers to discuss the issues of the day, debate ideas, and tackle the problems facing the membership. Convention XII will be held in Vancouver, from July 2nd – 6th

Business Agent Ryan Adams reached a Memorandum of Agreement with Grimshaw Trucking (clerical agreement). They will be voting on the Memorandum July ‎16.


We will be attending two Stampede Breakfasts this upcoming week. One will be on July 8 at 5401 Temple Dr NE and the other is a breakfast happening July 11 at the Currie Building to help support the Military Families Resource Centre.

The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will be taking place in Alberta on Aug 12 – 13 and Teamsters 362 will be taking part. Proceeds will be benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Find out more information about how you can take part http://ab17.conquercancer.ca/.

The 12 Stop Ride For Recovery has announced a date for its ninth year, and Teamsters 362 is proud to take part in it. The fundraiser is a ‘scavenger hunt style’ motorcycle ride to increase awareness of addiction helps us raise funds for the Fresh Start Recovery Centre. This year it will take place on Aug. 26. Come and meet some of the staff and executive from Teamsters 362 who will be taking part in the ride.
