Re: Election Results Local 362
Sisters and Brothers,
This is to announce the successful conclusion of the Local 362 election of Executive Board officers. On June 18, 2020 the ballot count was held in the Hotel Blackfoot in Calgary, the following officers were successfully elected:
- Secretary Treasurer (Principle Officer): Bernie Haggarty
- President: Richard Brown
- Vice President: Chance Hrycun
- Recording Secretary: Randy Eagleson
- Trustee: Sherrie Richard
- Trustee: Dan Slyk
- Trustee: Abdulahi Ibrahim
Congratulations to each of the successful candidates, and in particular I am congratulating the
membership of Local 362 as the election of Officers is a big step forward in the advancement of the Local towards self-government and the successful emerging from Trusteeship.
In closing, I also wish to recognize those remaining members who were also candidates in this
election. The election of officers is often a difficult exercise and with the successful election of the
Executive Board it is time to leave differences behind and all work together for the success of the
Local, and to practice and demonstrate the solidarity necessary to fight the battles for advancement of all the membership.
