Local 362 – 2024, 1st Quarter Organizing Report

2023 was a busy year for Local 362’s Organizing Department, and the first quarter of 2024 has trended in the same direction. From January 1 – April 1, 2024, Local 362’s organizing efforts saw the addition of four successful organizing campaigns (with members of the newest Bargaining Units overwhelmingly voting in favour to certify their workplaces). The following Bargaining Units were certified in the first quarter of 2024, and are as follows:

  • Dana Hospitality (January 11, 2024);
  • Canadian Corps of Commissioners – Bow Valley College (March 4, 2024);
  • The Governing Council of the Salvation Army, in Canada (March 15, 2024);
  • BayWa R.E. Solar Systems Inc. (March 18, 2024).

As the bargaining process commences for the above-mentioned Bargaining Units, we are excited to grow relationships and work in conjunction with the Members of the four newest groups to better their working conditions and their workplaces. The organizing of non-union workplaces can come with stress and can be a daunting process, but as Teamsters, we are here to support you throughout the process of becoming union and to tirelessly fight for your rights.

If you or someone else you know is experiencing challenges within the workplace, or if you would like more information on how we can improve your working conditions, we would like to hear from you! Please contact Local 362’s Organizing Department by email or phone (contact information below):
